Gotham city what a place Jackie had only been here once before even met that Batman guy let’s just say shit happened and they didn’t get along and of course Batman said he didn’t want to see Jackie in his city again or things would happen, heh too late for that. He was here and he wasn’t going anywhere. He had business that needed to be taken care of personally but it was something he wasn’t going to deal with until tonight. That was how it was suppose to go spend the day sight seeing maybe spend some time in the company of some lovely ladies then deal with this problem and crash for the rest of the night not alone of course but things took a major twist when Jackie decided to go to a high end bar.

It wasn’t until he was halfway done with the glass of whiskey that he realized he had fallen into a trap and there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Because after he realized that he fell face first onto the table he had been sitting at unconscious as the drugs had finally took effect. The next thing he remembered was pain in his jaw followed by more pain when he was punched again, he was finally able to open his eyes to see who he was going to kill once he got free. The only problem was he didn’t know who the two goons were so he didn’t have a clue as to why he had been kidnapped and brought to this dump and probably wouldn’t know for a while yet.

Now he just had to figure out what time it was so he could get the hell out of this place kill these assholes and their boss so he could get back to enjoying his little trip here that is if he was still in Gotham he wasn’t even really sure about that and the idiots weren’t talking.

Well, that certainly wasn't something you saw every day or night. But then again, this was Gotham City, so the sight of an unconscious man being stuffed into the trunk of a car wasn't really all that out of the ordinary. It had been Zinda's night off, and the blonde pilot had just been cruising around, looking for any new promising watering holes, when she saw the knocked out Jackie being crammed unceremoniously into such a small space. "Awww, c'mon boys, couldn't you have picked some other night to do this? Like when I wouldn't have been in this part of town?" she sighed, sitting back heavily in her driver's seat. Zinda only had a few moments to decide what to do as the kidnapper's car started to pull away. "Right, I save your ass and you buy me a drink or two. I think that sounds fair, don't you, trunk boy?"

Having been a chauffeur for Babs, and done her fair share of tailing various vehicles and shady characters, it was quite easy to follow behind them without being noticed, and the destination was typical; an abandoned warehouse on the waterfront. Parking in the shadows, Zinda drummed her fingers on the steering wheel, thinking. It was stupid, the worst idea she had since.... well, there was that time when she had tried to gun down Deathstroke, but this was different. She should have called the rest of the Birds, but who knew what'd happen between now and the time they arrive? Plus, there was always a reason she kept her two pistols in a box under the passenger seat. These occasions often called for these kinds of things. Of course, going in with guns blazing while being outnumber was an even stupider idea, and likely to get her killed.

Thankfully, generic thugs don't always pick the highest end of getaway vehicles, meaning their car door locks are easily picked.

It only took a couple of minutes to hotwire the car.

Zinda just had to hope the kidnapped man wasn't on the immediate other side of the warehouse door she aimed the car at., But at least it would provide a distraction and possibly take a few enemies out in the process.

Damn that last punch broke his nose well guess it did go with the split lip he now had neither one really bothered him it was the fact that there was blood all over his nice new suit, even though he was wearing a black suit he still didn’t like that it was getting messed up. The man finally stopped so the questioning could start although Jackie had no idea who these people were or what they wanted from him not that it mattered he’d kill them all before the night was over with. Only he was going to come out of this alive when this was all over with.

Before the man could ask the first question a car came crashing through the front door taking out a few of the thugs who weren’t fast enough to get out of the way. Most of the men went to figure out what had just happened leaving Jackie with the man who had been beating him for the last ten minutes. Before the man could turn back around Jackie got up and rammed into the guy knocking them both over “Don’t know what’s going on but you guys are dead once I get free.” just before he got thrown off the man luckily he landed an area near some shadows and little hands reached out and ripped apart the ropes freeing Jackie. As the man walked over to pick Jackie up again Jackie punched him as he got up and kept punching him even after he was down.

Using the car as a distraction/battering ram worked better than Zinda had expected, actually managing to take out a few of the thugs. As expected, the remaining men exited the warehouse, intending to check things out. Just once, Zinda wished they would attribute a car crashing through a door as faulty mechanics, but that was always wishful thinking that never really got her anywhere. The blonde pilot managed to pick a few of them off quietly, landing haymakers, a few sharp right hooks, and any other usual moves she had learned from Dinah and Helena. Everyone has there own style, and Zinda was the type to use what she found to be useful and discard all the rest, much to her teammates chagrin.

The remaining fellas, the smart ones who realized their buddies were missing decided it'd probably be a better idea not to deal with the girl with the two handguns, especially when one was pointed at a rather intimate part of their bodies. "That's it boys, just run along and I won't be helping you audition for the boy's choir," she said as they took off. And now, time to rescue whoever the hell it was they kidnapped.

Except it didn't really look like he needed any rescuing, not from the way he was laying his fists into the other man's face. "Are you kidding?" Zinda said, feeling a bit surprised and disappointed by this outcome. "Hey! Woah, woah, woah! Lay off him! I think he's down for the count, mister!"she told him, trying to separate the two. "There's no need to kill him. We'll get the cops here and you can press charges. How's that sound?"

Jackie hadn’t really noticed what was going on around him he was too pissed to really care only when Zinda tired to pull him off the other guy did he realize something had happened and he had stopped. He got up before looking at Zinda looking her over was more like it, he had never seen a woman dressed like that before it looked like some sort of uniform a weird one. She looked great while he looked like hell. Jackie wiped some blood off his face but it didn’t really do much good “Right, no need to kill him and I’ll pass on pressing charges I don’t like spending all night telling the same thing over and over again to a bunch of uniforms, while stuck in a crappy interrogation room while they try and figure out what had happened.” He had better things to do besides he’ll have that man dealt with soon enough.

He looked at Zinda again “What’s a pretty lady like yourself doing in a place like this?” She wasn’t a cop he knew that much or there would be cars here by now or almost here and he’d probably be getting questioned by now as to why he was kidnapped. “I guess I owe you one for crashing the party.” he wouldn’t mind paying her back for the help.

"No pressing charges?" After being kidnapped and beaten up and everything? Usually people tended to jump at the opportunity, unless they were..... Zinda gave the guy another once over, noting his style of dress and appearance. Was it possible that she basically interrupted a beat down of a rival gang faction? Oh, that'd be wonderful. She could just see Babs' reaction to this. It'd possibly be worse than how she handles Misfit's screw-ups. But just to be sure...

"Suit yourself, but I got a friend or two with the police. I'm sure they'd speed everything up and have you out of there in no time. No fuss, no bother." Most people, if they were associated with illegal dealings, didn't like that she had connections with the boys in blue. But this fella? Other than the clear anger issues, he looked like he could be cool under pressure. No low-rung thug tended to dress like that anyways.

"Well, I was driving around, hoping to find a place to get a nice drink and all, when I saw these fellas stuffing this tall, handsome, unconscious, dark haired guy into a trunk, and I figured 'gee, they must know where the party is if they got so many guys that one has to ride in the trunk'," she explained, looking down at the beaten man. "I thinnk you can pay me back by getting me that drink I was originally looking for and telling my why you were in that trunk. C'mon, let's get out of here before this guys friends come back with reinforcements," Zinda said, heading towards the exit. "My car's just out front."

Jackie took a hold of his nose and moved it back into place “Maybe later when I don’t feel like I’ve just been tenderized like a side beef.” he said before pulling out a handkerchief and used it on his nose and lip. He looked out the new doorway and realized the sun had gone down that was good he wouldn’t have to live with the broken nose for long and the darklings can deal with the asshole after they leave.

Jackie decided to ignore the offer to talk to Zinda’s police friends “Worst party ever and I’ve been to a lot of them. Sounds fair enough and lead the way.” he said following behind Zinda his eyes wandering down her body as he walked over and turned the lights out before heading outside.

Halfway to the car there was a scream coming from inside “Sounds like someone’s scared of the dark.” he chuckled knowing it was more than just that, although he would had loved to have done it himself but he didn’t want Zinda to find out he didn’t want to spend the night alone so he let the darklings deal with the man instead.

Zinda watched him with a smirk. Tough guy, fixing his own broken nose and everything. "If you don't mind my saying, I think you look pretty damn good for a tenderized piece of beef. You got a name, or should I just make something up?" She was only half joking about that. Again, a nice dressed man, able to throw punches like that, and with the kidnapping, it just screamed the kind of situation that might call for a false identity. The funny thing was, she couldn't help but sort of like this guy, situation or not.

"But you got to admit, some of the best parties can end with a fight. So long as your on the winning side, I'd say it's a pretty good evening." Clearly, she needed to stop hanging out with Ted and every other guy that thought bar fights were fun.

Like that would ever happen.

The man's scream stopped Zinda in her tracks. She knew her fair share of screams from combat. That wasn't some 'I'm afraid of the dark' scream. That was.... something worse. "What the hell's going on? That wasn't just some 'it's dark and I'm scared' yell. Did I bunch of your guys follow you and jump him? Was it all set up and pointless for me to save your ass? I don't get involved in things like that." She wasn't mad or feeling betrayed, but she sure as hell would have no problems leaving little gangster boy here by his lonesome if that was the case.

“I think that’s a first time anyone has ever said anything like that to me and you can call me Jackie.” he wasn’t worried about using fake names what jail cell could hold him anyways? None because you can’t always have it light everywhere all the time. Even if he was in a room with lights on all the time there would be darkness outside the cell he could always use to get free.

“You got me there that is so true.” he chuckled the only good fight was one he was winning and he always won, that’s how he got to where he was now running Sierra Muñoz.

“I don’t know what youre talking about I don’t have any guys unless you're talking about my driver who probably doesn’t give a rats ass where I’m at. I don’t even live in the U.S. anymore so I don’t have anyone.” it was partly true but mostly a lie hopefully Zinda believed him. He didn’t want her to leave him here.

"Well there's a first time for everything, Jackie boy. My name's Zinda," she replied, offering him a handshake; one that was soon dropped upon hearing the man's scream.

Zinda eyed Jackie suspiciously as he gave his little explanation. "Uh-huh, right. Then what the hell's going on in there. I ain't about to be an accomplice to a murder, Jackie. I came here with good intentions and I'm not about to stop now, you her me?" The look she gave him was one that meant business. Checking her guns, Zinda gave him one last glance before she started to head back for the warehouse. Was it a stupid move, turning her back on some guy she just met? Oh yeah. But then again, if he was stupid enough to try and pull a fast one on her, well, she'd be justified with the black eyes she give him.

"No tricks, Jackie. Or I swear, come hell or high water, I'll cart your backside downtown before you know what's happening. You don't want to be messing with me. I've got friends to high places." Normally, Zinda wouldn't bring up her teammates like this, but then again, she wasn't normally this upset. Like she said earlier, there was a first time for everything.

“Do I look like I know what’s going on inside? How do you even know it has anything to do with me? those guys probably have enemies coming out the ass crack maybe they were just waiting for the right time to attack them.” he said sticking his hands in his pockets not at all upset over what was happening to the man. Anyone would jump at the chance to do what they wanted to get rid of their rivals even after they were attacked by someone else.

“Come hell or high water you do that and I’ll be back out on the streets in ten minutes or less if you do decide to cart me downtown for whatever reason you suddenly have.” He said not really all that worried not only could no jail cell hold him due to his powers but they would have to get through his diplomatic immunity. He did follow after her enjoying the view as he followed her back into the building even though he was unarmed “Got a flashlight in your pocket?” he asked

Zinda stopped and listened to his explanation. "You're kind of nonchalant about all this, aren't you? Either you're the type who's more concerned about his own well being and not other people, or you're the kind who doesn't have dirt stick to them. I just can't tell which." But she was willing to bet it was the latter.

Jackie's talk about him getting out of jail in ten minutes confirmed her suspicions, or at least what she thought was his reasoning for getting out so quickly. Shaking her head, the blonde continued back into the warehouse, gripping her pistols tight. "For your information, I'll use the car lights." Assuming she could start the engine without any trouble, or having it explode on her or something.

Thankfully, though the car had rammed itself into a steel girder, severely denting the grill and front, the battery was still functioning, allowing Zinda to turn the high beams on and illuminate a good portion of the room. What she saw made her go pale. The man was dead. Most men tend to be when their body are that thoroughly eviscerated. Most of his body was laying on the floor, but the rest? It was all over. The blood spray alone..... nothing in all her years could have done that. Nothing normal at least. Unless they found a wallet, she wasn't sure they would ever identify the remains.

Backpedaling as fast and as careful as she could, Zinda fled the building, gulping in the fresh air and trying to scrub that image from her mind. She felt like she might be sick. Leaning against a shipping crate, it took her a few minutes and a few false starts before she felt well enough to talk without vomiting. "What the hell did that?" she asked herself, her voice a bit shaky.

“I’m a New Yorker hearing people scream bloody murder is kind of a normal thing it also means not to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong you’ll live longer.” he wasn’t threatening her just stating facts from his younger years.

Oh he knew that look of course Zinda was most likely wrong like everyone else. He was apart of the mob or some such and knew people who could get him out of jail fast. While normally that would be true it isn’t now he left that mess behind in New York, although people were still out to kill him either because of a hit he’s done on someone they know or some such or because of the Darkness.

Jackie stood by the car looking at the mess in front of him the boys really did a number on the asshole, part of him was happy about that while the other part wanted to be sick. No so much from the sight but more from the smell of something it wasn’t rotten flesh and he didn’t want to know. He decided to follow Zinda out “I...don’t know...but I feel obligated to keep my lunch down.” he said he was going to need a few drinks after this.“What now?” he finally asked when he was sure he wasn't going to be sick.

"I'm.... I gotta call this in, Jackie. I'm sorry. It won't take long. I got... I know people that'll handle this better than the police." Still leaning against the shipping crate, Zinda pulled out her cellphone and texted the information to the rest of the Birds, mainly Oracle, giving her the location, a very brief rundown of what happened, and Jackie's name. Babs had installed little pinpoint cameras in their cars, just on the odd chance they'd get stolen, so she'd probably get a picture of him soon enough. Once done, Zinda turned around and looked a little sheepishly at Jackie.

"Sorry for accusing you like that, Jackie. Nobody I know could do all that in such a small amount of time. Not without a chainsaw, at least. I'd rather not stick around her, in case whatever did that shows up again. My friends will.... it'll all get cleaned up," she told him, still looking a little pale. "I'll take you where ever you want to go, just as long as you can make me forget about seeing..... all that."

An involuntary shiver ran down the blonde's back as she glanced back at the warehouse, her stomach turning a few more flips. Grimacing, she started on back to the car, figuring Jackie would be hot on her heels. Once inside, she rested her forehead against the steering wheel, the cool leather providing her a little comfort during this situation.

“Do what you gotta do.” Jackie said not really sure what else he could say or do although he did have a feeling this wasn’t going to be a very good night. Although the idea of killing her had crossed his mind once or twice it might be easier than to keep playing this out like it was.

“It’s alright, well I still owe you a drink for ruining your night.” He suggested although he had other ideas on how she could forget about what had happened she probably wouldn’t go along with it so drinking was the next best thing.

He got in next to her watching her a few moments “You sure you're able to drive? I can do it if you don’t feel up to it.” he offered because Zinda looked like she was about to be sick. Even though he had no idea where to go for drinks around here but she could probably give him directions for a bar around here or something.
