Always on the move. That was the way it was for a freelance journalist such as Vic Sage. Going where ever the story would take him and where the leads would lead him. Which is what landed him in Metropolis as Vic had just finished up an story on child soldiers in the lesser developed nations and it was time to turn his work in to the Daily Planet who had purchased the rights to the story.
Though Metropolis had other things to offer a man such as Vic Sage. There was a seedy underbelly just waiting to be exposed. Corruption in various governmental agencies, and not to mention Lex Luthor. A man who was at the top of the Justice Leagues most wanted list, but catching the man in the act was next to impossible. The truth was there it was just a matter of finding it, and if anyone could find that truth it was Vic.
Or the other thing that Metropolis had to offer. Lois Lane. She and Vic had went to university together while they studied journalism. He had been a year or two ahead of her so hard telling if she would even remember him. But then again she did have a mind akin to a steel trap, or at least she did way back then.
So with a serious look on his face, Vic entered the Daily Planet lobby and headed towards the security desk to check in. His practiced paranoia taking note of the visible security cameras and his head tilting as he moved to avoid any camera getting a clear shot of his face. Uncle Sam's facial recognition system was certainly not going to easily catalog Vic.
"Vic Sage for Perry White." He said to the security guard as he showed his press pass. "Yeah sure elevator's to the right." The guard said, barely looking up from his crossword puzzle. "There are 27 deaths a year in elevators. Where are the stairs?" Vic said as he glanced around, making note of who was standing where only to spot Lois standing nearby. "Never mind.. and five across. to fancy up... answer is tart up." Vic said as he turned around to face his old classmate.
"Lois Lane... Is that you?" He asked as he stepped away from the security desk and slipped his story under his arm.
