Legal Status: Adult
Occupation: Sorceress, goddess, former ruling princess of Colchis
Affiliation: Mainly herself, formerly the Injustice Gang
Abilities:
Sorcery: Circe is a goddess-level sorceress. Circe has nearly limitless magical power. Circe’s primary powers are her abilities to tap and manipulate the mystical forces of the universe. She has demonstrated the ability to project her image, voice, and energy bolts over long distances. Her most popular ability is her power to alter the forms of mortal, but not immortal, beings. With a gesture, she can transform men into animals, with the resultant form usually appropriate to the attitude, appearance or personality of the victim.
Projective Animal Metamorphosis: Her most well-known and principle magical feat is, with a gesture, to turn objects and people alike into various sorts of animals. She has an especial preference for subjecting men to this transformation. Some of her victims have become pigs, monkeys, large cats, boars and even birds, whilst retaining their ability to think and sometimes even speak. In these forms, they are subject to Circe's will and often in a tranquilized state, unable to resist her. With another gesture, Circe can restore her victims to normal.
Matter Transmogrification: She can transform objects and beings into whatever form she desires.
Reality Alteration: Her sorcery allows her to manipulate reality through incantations and spells.
Immortality: As a goddess level sorceress, she is granted ageless immortality, though she can apparently be physically harmed by a sufficiently strong attack. She has previously demonstrated the ability to return from almost total physical destruction; it is unknown if she can ever be completely destroyed.
Alter Minds: She can alter minds and control them utterly.
Magic Blasts: Can fire destructive magical energy blasts.
Magical Shields: Able to erect physical barriers of magical energy of great durability and strength.
Sound Manipulation: She's shown the ability to project her voice over long distances with extreme pressure.
Clairvoyance: Circe also seems to have limited clairvoyant potential, mostly demonstrating a mystical awareness of guests on her island and the presence of other immortals in her company. She was able to detect Hermes in an invisible state when he visited her.
Illusion Casting: Capable of creating illusions.
Teleportation: Capable of tapping even cosmic energies, she can teleport between dimensions such as from Earth to Olympus.
Charisma: She has the ability to seduce others with her natural charm.
Seduction: With her ability to seduce others with her natural beauty, Circe is an excellent master manipulator.
Alchemy: She can create potions to transform individuals or to grant power comparable to that of the Greek gods.
What's hidden behind the mask:
Personality: Circe is conniving, manipulative, and enjoys playing tactically. Keep in mind if she offers you something, it's not normally as a gift. There’s usually a string attached, which you might not notice right away. If she can play her cards right in a situation, all she’d have to do is sit back and watch things unfold. But she does take pleasure in getting her hands dirty on occasion.
Cruel and destructive, due to having been scorned so many times in the past, Circe doesn't gloss over things, or create falsehoods like hope, goodness, charity, peace, and other things that make humanity seem better than they actually are. Yes, they may have advanced over the past few thousand years, but humans are still animals, and Circe provides them with those primal outlets, or would, if only they'd listen to her.
She also has a bit a temper, which can be used against her. Hit the right nerve and she’ll lash out, often blindly and without hesitation. One thing of note, Circe is a woman of her word. If she strikes a bargain, she will keep it. The Greeks cared highly for honor and she will not be the type to sully her reputation. That being said, if she is dishonored by someone, that person better watch their back. The only thing she cares more about than honor is her daughter, Lyta. Circe would give up the universe to keep her safe.
History:
Due to time, myth, and legend, Circe's origins are a bit muddled and perhaps even falsified. Saying she was born a princess of Colchis, Circe was raised to be a proper woman of the times, but wanted more. A devotee of the goddess Hecate, when Colchis was to be invaded, she killed her weak willed husband, who wished to surrender. Rather than accepted to rule in his stead, she was banished from her homeland to Aeaea, where she could work her magics. But it wasn't enough for the former princess, and Circe prayed to Hecate for retribution. Her prayer was answered, but not as she expected. Hecate came to her and offered a deal. Circe wanted retribution on men, but Hecate had been wronged by both sexes. Circe would then become the divine instrument of Hecate's justice.
But Hecate's last words were a cryptic prophecy. "Upon the death of a witch and the birth of a witch, Hecate by name, and choice, shall reclaim her soul." The new, gloriously reborn Circe was unconcerned. Hecate was dead, burned alive with Circe's mortal soul in the light of Hecate's Moon. In a single bloody night, Circe returned to her former home and killed the insurgents, and took those who pleased her to her island to continue the practice of beastimorphism. Those who disobeyed her were transformed into prey for her pets. Circe's presence caused panic and paranoia. Every man feared that any woman he knew could be the Witch on the Island. Man used brute strength, while woman used sex itself as a weapon. Not many survived that night.
Over the centuries, Circe withdrew from the modern world, content to manipulate things from her island. People forgot about the Witch on the Island, and Circe was fine with that. Until the Amazon princess known as Diana came into the world and began spreading her message of peace. And Hecate's prophecy rang in Circe's ears, warning her that this new witch was before her. Hecate had many names, as a goddess of the moon. Pythia, Selene... and Diana. Convinced that Diana would usurp her power, Circe had set to turn the Amazon's champion once more into the clay from which she was birthed. She succeeded, butonly briefly, and has been thwarted by the princess and her companions time and again, though there are times when the purple haired witch has gotten the upper hand on mortals and Amazons alike.

The man was begging for his life. They always did when they finally realized who she was after giving them a show of her power. Right now the little military man, one Commander Vassilis, was laying prostrate on the ground before her. Circe would have found it amusing if she weren't already in such a foul mood.
"Really? You think this will save you? You wretched little thing? After all you and your men have done to this town? You should have kept moving, should have not touched the women here. You should have listened to the people. I know they warned you about 'the Witch'. But you brushed it off as some sort of fairy tale, some folklore to scare children. It must have worked, since you looked pretty scared when your second in command turned into a dog right before your eyes," she grinned, grabbing him by the hair and yanking his head up to looked into his scared eyes.
It wasn't wasn't often that Circe would interfere in mortal affairs and actually help people, but every so often, what was left of her conscience prodded her to do good. However, she would never perform acts of heroism on the same level as Diana. That would be to demeaning, and the thought alone made her skin crawl. No, she'd do things on her own terms.
"You were told to leave, but now.... you and your men are going to stay for the rest of your miserable lives. Some will help in the fields as plowhorses and oxen. Some will become guard dogs. And others still will make due with being goats and sheep. You though... You will be shunned and hated. Rocks will be thrown at you and you shall crawl on your belly, eating dust for the rest of your days." With that, Circe shoved the man back down to the ground, her burgundy wine eyes glowing as she poured her magic into him. The man screamed as his limbs shrank and his body elongated. All of his hair fell out a he grew smaller and thinner, skin hardening and drying out, cracking into a million shards. The change took only a few minutes, Circe wanting to drag the man's torment out, but finally, the simple grass snake he became slithered out from beneath his clothing and off into the nearby brush.
