It was rare when Sinestro blushed, but she had managed to pull one out of him, the man’s face glowing a somewhat deeper shade of red, if that were at all possible. He looked away from the woman, feeling a little awkward when she had put her arms around him. It wasn’t like he was hugged every day, and he didn’t really know how to respond to it. Should he… hug her back? No, that would just be weird- he knew it was best he just float there and let her do what she felt she needed to do in order to thank him.
And then she kissed him, and he really found himself lost. It wasn’t like he thought it was some kind of come on or anything, he knew better than that, but it was still… emotion. Emotion he wasn’t used to getting from anyone.
So it was a little awkward.
When she finished the hug, Sinestro was left watching her, feeling a little out of place. Like he had just been taken into a moment completely on accident- something that wasn’t even meant for him. But it had been, hadn’t it? Clearing his throat, he brought himself back to his senses, shaking his head slightly before floating a little away from her. In truth, it hadn’t been horrible, being hugged. And maybe not something he would put on the ‘never again’ list. In any case, it was better than getting punched in the face, or losing another limb.
Thankfully, she hadn’t used any of her strength to hold onto him, or it might have been a much more horrible situation. He was still in a bit of pain, after all, and her kind of strength would not help the healing process. Thankfully, when not being controlled by an evil guardian spirit, she was well in control of her abilities.
Still didn’t make it less embarrassing, though.
“Well… that was… something,” he offered faintly, moving his good hand to the back of his head, rubbing it slowly. He blinked, looking down at the floor far below him. “I’m not… the best at that kind of appreciation, but I thank you.” He looked at her again, wondering where she wanted to go, if she didn’t want to go back to her apartment.
They probably needed to get things sorted out. “Perhaps we can land somewhere,” he said after a moment, “I’m not used to the glow of green around me: I think I should like to sit and perhaps get away from it.” The irritation in his tone was dripping: palpable. He didn’t have a problem with the glow of green in his eyes, other than his loathing towards seeing it at all.
So… maybe there was a big problem after all.
