Walker liked Europe. Sure, there were many places all over the world that Walker found beautiful, but Europe was the nicest. It reminded him of his home world, and that made him happy. The plants were so lively, the houses so quaint. The history, most importantly, seemed very rich and still very much alive. It was something he liked seeing, on a planet so interested in pushing forward.
Gently, Walker touched down, finding himself on the street of a very busy-looking city. London, he believed it to be called. How exciting! There were people moving about everywhere, minding their own lives. A much different sort of feel than Gotham had been, that was for sure. There, everyone seemed on edge. Constantly wondering when the next attack was going to happen. But, in their defense, it was a place that was often attacked. They were on edge because they felt they needed to be. For them, it was the norm.
But Walker had hope: he knew they would eventually find some peace. Perhaps soon, if the heroes had anything to say about it. They sought to eradicate the evil from that place, and Walker felt they could do it.
He also felt hopeful that those who were ‘evil’ would find their paths. After all, no one lost needed to stay that way, and he knew there was hope for everyone, good or bad. Those who had lost their light would be able to find it again, and earth would be a better place because of it.
That kind of hope glowed brightly in his heart.
As he looked around the busy streets, the strange alien didn’t seem to mind the surprised stares pointed in his direction. The looks of awe and even horror. The alien was not exactly normal in appearance- he was a tall, blue creature with a long tail coming out of the back of his head.
He also didn’t know that there had been a lot of… incidents around London of late. Involving things like vampires and demons killing humans and running off with their battered bodies.
For him, it was normal for humans to be frightened of him, at first, and he accepted the behavior with the hope that they would come to know him, and understand he meant them no harm. How could he have known all the other scary things making the citizens even more nervous of him than usual?
Unlike some, he couldn’t sense fear. Only hope.
