The person behind the character:
Name/Nickname: Tubbs! Because it's my name! Alternate nicknames include "Hey You" and "Dude".
Age: 25
Experience: 13 years roleplaying.
Contact information: My e-mail's on the forum! Or you can dial my cell at XXX-XXXX.
Character basics:
Real name: Peter Parker
Code name: Spider-Man
Date of Birth: August 4
Place of Birth: New York, New York.
Age: 26
Known family: May Parker (Aunt), Benjamin Parker (Uncle, Deceased), Richard Parker (Father, Deceased), Mary Parker (Mother, Deceased).
The Reflection in the mirror:
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'10''
Weight: 167 lbs.
Legal Status: Adult
Occupation: Journalist (Photographer)
Affiliation: Avengers (Formerly), has ties to (but has never been an official member of) The X-Men and Fantastic Four.
Abilities:
Super-Strength: Peter has the proportional strength of a spider; that is to say, he can lift things several times heavier than himself and hits harder than your average high-speed car wreck. The upper limit of his lifting capacity measures in at about ten tons.
Super-Duraility: Likely a bi-product of his other super-abilities, Spider-Man is able to take a phenominal amount of punishment and keep on going. As a moderate example, Spider-Man has been known more than once to get hit by a car and, without spending more than a moment to regain his senses, get right back up and box with his foes to little ill effect.
Super-Agility: Also like a spider, Peter is super-agile. The heights of his agility rise to about 15-20 times that of a normal human, allowing him to preform phenominal feats of dexterity.
Surface Adhesion: A power more affectionately referred to as "Wall-Crawling", this is Peter's ability to stick to walls, enabling him to climb up sheer inclines without any handholds or even ropes.
Precognition: Also known as Spider-Sense, this power allows Peter to conceive of incoming danger a few moments before it happens, allowing him to react before he should possibly be able to react. His spidey-sense has been known to trigger in situations ranging from a gunman about to pull the trigger to coming home to an exceptionally angry Mary Jane.
Genius-Level Intellect and Scientific Know-how: Spider-Man has a raw intellect on par with super geniuses like Tony Stark. Though he doesn't have a list of credentials as long as the Reed Richards' arms like those big-wigs do, he has proven smart enough and knowledgeable enough to find safeguards built into armor by Tony Stark himself, override them, and turn them back on their creator. He has a similar breadth of knowledge in a wide variety of scientific fields, including physics, chemistry, and biology.
Acrobatic Skills: Peter is an exceptional acrobat. In conjunction with his super-human agility, this enables him to preform incredible aerobatic feats. Just one of these is his well-practiced web-slinging, in which he uses his home-brewed invention, web-shooters, to traverse the island of Manhattan at the same pace as New York's high-speed car chases.
Combat Skills: Spider-Man has received relatively little combat training, in the formal sense. However, he has had ten years of experience since he first became Spider-Man in which to gain first-hand experience. The result is a magnificent, acrobatic self-style that utilizes both his super-agility and super-strength, and calls for web-shooters as often as it calls for fists.
Journalism: Peter Parker is an accomplished journalist, specifically in the field of photography.
What's hidden behind the mask:
Personality: Like most people that lead a double life, Peter has developed a pair of personas, pending which outfit he's currently wearing. As Peter Parker, he's a bit awkward and more than a bit shy. Though not afraid to stand up for himself when it's important, Peter can easily be taken for lacking in backbone and has to be urged actively to take risks. Naturally, Spider-Man is an entirely different story. Witty, funny, and supremely confident, Spider-Man is nigh impossible to even phase with the sorts of threats and bullying that would have Peter Parker down for the count, even willing to brave death on behalf of total strangers. Of course, Spider-Man is only a mask that Peter Parker wears, and from time to rare time, his true self shines through the layers of webbing he uses separates his civilian life from his super-hero one. Whatever kind of ego Peter has, he keeps it under control, often asking where the 'big-time' heroes are when the scale of current events gets out of his control.
As both Peter Parker and Spider-Man, he is extremely loyal to friends, family, and loved ones. He has taken extreme action in order to save both Aunt May and Mary Jane repeatedly, and is even today tortured by the fact that his worst enemies, the Green Goblin and Hobgoblin, are actually his former best friend, Harry Osborne, and his father, Norman, respectively. Though he is no longer married to Mary Jane, it's rather obvious to everybody involved that he still loves her and misses her immensely.
History: Peter was orphaned at an early age when his parents, U.S. Spies Richard and Mary Parker, were killed in the line of duty. Upon their deaths, he was sent to live with his elderly aunt and uncle, Ben and May. Peter was young enough when all of this happened that he remembers Ben and May as if they were his real parents, and he grew to love them as such. In his school days, he found that he was exceptionally talented, and remained at the top of his class throughout high school and college.
He was 15 years old when his life changed forever. Off at a scientific symposium of some sort, he was exposed to a spider that had been made radioactive by a cutting-edge form of particle beam. He was bitten by said spider, and while this appeared not to have any ill effects at first, this would later prove to be anything but true. In very short order, Peter found that he had massive super-strength, a drastically increased agility, and the ability to sense danger before it happened. With an agent, a costume, and a pair of home-made web shooters, Spider-Man was born as a television sensation. The sensation was short-lived, as Peter found his beloved uncle murdered by a man he himself had allowed to escape custody due to pure apathy. From then on, he espoused his uncle's words, "With great power comes great responsibility," completely, using his extraordinary powers to fight crime in New York City.
In the ten years since the start of his crime fighting career, Spider-Man has experienced too much history to mention even in passing. From his encounters with the Goblin family to the birth of Venom and its descendants to his marriage and un-marriage to Mary Jane Watson, Spider-Man's adventures can - and have - filled volumes upon volumes upon volumes, and any attempt made here to even summarize would either be pages long, do no justice to the stories, or, most likely, both. Instead, I will simply endeavor to say that through an amalgam of triumphs, setbacks, and mistakes, Spider-Man has made a plethora of enemies, gained and lost the love of three separate women, and made a name for himself both in New York and across the United States as a costumed crime fighter and champion of justice.

Pizza. It was a New York style deep dish, loaded with more types of meat and veggies than he was willing to count at that moment. His gig at the pizza store, he quickly decided as he took another delectable bite, had been worth every second of bruise-inducing, head-spinning rough housery he'd endured at the hands of... Whatever that guy's name had been. Say what you would about the guy's ethics problems, he had a mean left hook. Peter rubbed his jaw as he chewed, a reminder of that very fact. All in the past now, though. The present was a much more delicious thing to focus on.
He heard something. Sirens? No. It couldn't be. Just a coincidence. He saw something. Police lights? It sure looked like them, even if it wasn't. It was probably nothing, if they were only sending one car - make that two - er, thr- Fou- 'Wow,' he thought, 'That's a lot of lights...' No matter, though. He was sure they had it handled. Not like anybody was going to be in particular danger at that moment. ... Oh, wait. The uniforms were on the street now, clearing out the civilian population. Was this place about to become a ground zero? Peter looked to them, then to his pizza, then to them, and finally back to his pizza. "Some days," he stated as he threw the rest of the slice into a nearby trash can, "You just can't get a break." With that, he put his gloves back on, pulled his mask back over his mouth, and took a mighty leap into the air. His swing thus jump-started, he blazed through the air, out of his break-time back alley, and toward the emergency zone. A hero's work is never done.
