Arkillo was aware of a few of the followers Sinestro had gathered in his time on earth- he knew he had made, what humans would call, friends. And that annoyed him- their strong, bold leader wasn’t supposed to be running around making buddies. Perhaps they were the reason Sinestro had spent so much time from space, and perhaps if they were gone, Sinestro would regain some of his former perspective.
If not, he would just have to kill his former leader and keep control of the yellow lanterns himself. Really, it didn’t seem like there was much of a downside in either situation, except that he was still somewhat loyal to Sinestro, so killing him might make him unhappy.
Nothing slaughtering helpless humans wouldn’t fix.
These friends, he blamed them for all the chaos that had been kicked up since Sinestro first started spending time on earth, and he wanted every last one of them dead. Not just dead, but almost thankful for death after all the suffering they had been put through first.
So he had been looking into things, which he hated doing, and discovered one of his allies called herself ‘Nemesis’. She was something different from most humans, from what he could gather, but he was never really one for studying.
He had kind of just gotten the basics- she knew Sinestro, so she needed to die.
So he was there to stalk her, if his massive frame would allow it. Perhaps he had gone to the wrong location, though- he wasn’t sure she would even be in this area of earth. Unfortunately, his ability to research and, more importantly, plan, were not his strong suits.
Setting things on fire. He liked setting things on fire.
Carefully, he floated above a small town, scanning the inhabitants for someone who might match the picture his ring had made for him. The tongue-less beast wanted to just start blowing everything up, but he didn’t know the character of this female Sinestro had been seduced by. It was possible, given his personality, that she was not the noble type.
Someone who liked Sinestro couldn’t be entirely good, so there was a chance she wouldn’t save anyone even if he did start ripping into them.
If he weren’t there to get revenge on his former leader, the whole thing might have been pretty entertaining.
