The person behind the character:
Name/Nickname: Arachne
Age: Old enough
Experience: 5-6 years
Contact information: PMs
Character basics:
Real name: Mary Alice Walker
Code name: Typhoid Mary, Bloody Mary (though these are pretty much the names of her personalities)
Date of Birth: May 11, 1983
Place of Birth: New York, New York
Age: 30
Known family: None
The Reflection in the mirror:
Hair: Brown (straight when she's Mary, but becomes thicker, fuller, and curlier when she's Typhoid and Bloody)
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 140 lbs.
Legal Status: Adult
Occupation: Adventurer; Former mercenary, assassin, professional criminal, actress, teacher
Affiliation: The Hand, Kingpin; formerly Deadpool, Shadow Initiative, Initiative
Abilities:
Telekinesis - She can levitate objects and peoples and can project a telekinetic shield or force field. She can also release devastating force blasts. With this power she can fly at great speeds over short distances. She can levitate small objects over short distances (usually knives, razors, bits of metal, etc., which her "Bloody Mary" persona often gathered and assembled into improvised battle-armor.)
Pyrokinesis - She has the power to create, control, and absorb fire, enabling her to set aflame objects, and people, in her immediate vicinity.
Telepathy - She has limited telepathic abilities, generally implanting psychic suggestions in unsuspecting individuals or small groups, such as influencing others to look towards or away from her or enabling her to escape detection even when walking through a crowded room. She can cause animals or people of low intelligence to fall asleep. For unrevealed reasons (perhaps subconscious psychic interference), Daredevil can’t get a clear image of her as Typhoid with his radar sense, nor is he able to follow her heartbeat clearly.
Mary is artistically gifted, having found a bit of a talent in sketching and painting, while spending time in the mental wards. She is likely to express herself through this medium, often painting dreams, portraits, or even simply sketching what she sees.
Typhoid has exceptional, though not superhuman, physical abilities, likely due to training. She’s also highly formidable in hand-to-hand combat. She has some training in judo and has exceptional skill in wielding, throwing, and telekinetically hurling bladed weapons.
What's hidden behind the mask:
Personality: Mary is very timid person. She’s gentle, pleasant, and helpful, but also emotionally dependent on others, and prone to, what she thinks are, blackouts. In truth these are when her other personality takes over. Though she has frequently been confronted with evidence of her other persona, Mary tends to block out this information and generally remains unaware of their existence. She's the nice girl of the three. She would gladly befriend you, offer a shoulder to cry on, and even possibly give advice. A bit shy and reserved, with a polite and mild demeanor, she tends to express herself through her sketches and paintings, which she learned to do during her stays in various hospitals... which she prefers to not talk about.
As Typhoid, she is aggressive, opinionated, adventurous, lusty, manipulative, cocky, rebellious, seductive, playful, uncontrollable, violent, willfully malevolent, murderous, and contrary to whatever it is you think she'll do. You never know what mood she'll be in when you meet her, and then again, you never know what will set her off either.
Bloody is, simply put, a crazy killing machine. Take blood and fire, darkness and sharp metal that slices things so easily. Mix those together with cries heard in the night and give it the most wicked grin a human could ever possess. That's Bloody Mary. It's very rare that you can reasoning with her, as it will do you little good, but she can be directed towards objectives, much like a bull that sees something waved in front of it. In life, things bleed and things burn, and Bloody sees her existence as a means for everything to reach that ultimate destination. She kills, mainly abusive or aggressive men, but she kills. That’s her purpose. She doesn’t talk much, perhaps a sentence here or there, but nothing more.
History: Mary Walker didn't exactly have the best childhood. In fact, it could be considered the worst, actually. Her father was an abusive man, to both her and her mother. She started being a victim of his abuse while in utero, hearing him yelling at her mother. Of course, her mom was the lucky one, having died when Mary was very young. This left Mary no protection from her father in any way. Every night he would go to Mary's room and every night, she would curl up, both physically and mentally, wanted to hide away from the shadow in her doorway. One night, she curled up enough that something inside her young mind snapped, lashing out in fury and pain, screaming and clawing. After that night, no shadow crossed her doorway.
Of course this single action didn't mean Mary's troubles were over. After continued incidents with her father, she was briefly moved to foster care. Parents loved the sweet, innocent and cooperative Mary, but quickly had second thoughts when the persona eventually known as Typhoid would make appearances. This behavior finally lead to Mary being sent to a mental institution. While there, Mary had every test known to science performed on her in order to evaluate and discern the cause of her violent outbursts. The results, however, continued to baffle experts. All signs pointed to Mary having no knowledge of her other persona, while Typhoid, who could only be talked to while she was sedated, went on and on about the flawed little Mary. Eventually, after years in various institutions, Typhoid was able to escape, disappearing for a good long while.
The woman known as Mary finally surfaced, working in a brothel in New York City. After an incident with a man named Matt Murdock and being pushed out a window, Typhoid took over once more, becoming a criminal this time, and making a promise that men would never hurt her again. Typhoid’s list of criminal activity ranged from robbery and blackmail, to various forms of murder, typically being murder for hire… or in some cases, pleasure. Though she did kill people, it was limited to only criminals, something that even the NYPD seemed to tolerate. Gradually, her activities did catch the attentions of Kingpin, whom she’s worked for, and even shared a relationship with, over the years and Daredevil, which is something more along the lines of a love/hate relationship.
The persona known as Bloody, surfaced when Typhoid was once more captured and experimented on. Forced to relieve her worst memories, Typhoid gave way to Bloody, whose only purpose or need in life is to punish and slaughter abusive men. Whether this was a new persona, or one that existed beforehand and had to reason to surface until now is uncertain.
Currently, Mary is living in New York, trying to move past her rather exceptionally unpleasant childhood. She is still, for the most part, unaware of her other two personas, though just enough has started to seep through, making her rethink what the doctors told her when she was little.

Mary Walker should have been asleep at this hour, except she wasn't. Well, technically she was. Her mind, at least. But then again, she wasn't the only mind in that pretty little head of hers. Last time little Mary took a headcount, there were three separate individuals currently in residence.
One, Mary Walker. Sweet, nice, little innocent, Mary. Artistically talented, the type to help kittens and puppies and even the elderly. She was the girl next door your mother would want you to marry, if you were a guy. Heck, maybe even if you were a girl. If you were into that sort of thing.
Two, Typhoid Mary. Not really sweet, not really nice either, and so far from innocent that it's not even a speck on the horizon. Typhoid was the type who wore black leather and lace. She'd kiss you and make you cry, probably even bleed a little. Or a lot, depending on her mood. Either way, she'd do it with a smile on her face.
The third... the other two really didn't like talking about. They kept her in a dark, quiet, and blood-soaked part of Mary's brain. And if they were very lucky and didn't make the proverbial 'eye contact' with her, then hopefully, maybe, she wouldn't come out too often. Not a lot of things scared Typhoid, but Bloody Mary was definitely one of them.
So, needless to say, it was a bit crowded in Mary Walker's head. which was why Typhoid was going for a little walk through the city. She needed to breathe every once and a while. So what if little Mary got the occasional bruise or cut from her 'walks', it just meant she survived another adventure. She'd get over it, she always did. No doctor or medicine had gotten rid of Typhoid yet. She did what she wanted.
Which was why Typhoid was sitting on the top of the Sophie Loeb Fountain in Central Park, eating a thick and juicy bacon cheeseburger with everything. With fries and a coke, naturally.
"Wooooo, boys, look who's Queen of the Mountain!" A male voice hollered behind her. A few catcalls and wolf whistles soon followed. Typhoid rolled her eyes, looking over her shoulder at the group of men approaching the fountain.
"Oh! An' she's a looker too! Hey sweet cheeks, how 'bout you an' I go for a little walk an' you can climb my mountain?" one of them asked her, making a lewd gesture as the rest laughed.
"Go away. Eating," she bluntly informed them.
"Awww hell, honey. That ain't no way to treat a guy who just complimented you," the leader said, walking towards her, intent on climbing onto the tiered ledge. Typhoid paused from eating and counted with her fingers.
"Com-pli-men-ted. Ooh, four syllables, better stop while you're ahead or you might break something."
"Hey, now we're through bein' nice. Get down 'ere," the head guy said, grabbing her leg that was hanging off the edge of the central pillar. Setting her burger down, Typhoid promptly kicked him the face, sending him sprawling backwards, face all bloody.
"Warned you. Now you got a broken nose." With a sharp laugh, she jumped from the fountain, landing near the group. Looks like she'd be getting a fight tonight too.
