Koyuki stretched and smiled. It was a beautiful day this morning! The temperature was a little on the cool side, but that would be a good thing once she started her workout. She'd made adjustments to her schedule to allow workout time in the mornings, and practice with her powers if she could get it in.
She set her water bottle on a bench nearby and began to stretch. She started by putting her feet together and reaching toward them. She kept that position for about fifteen seconds before standing and reaching up. She leaned back, closing her eyes when she felt the stretch in her back.
After doing some more stretches, Koyuki decided to do a few laps around the basketball court to warm up some more. She did almost three before slowing down to a light jog, then did the last half of the fourth walking. She went back to the bench to get her water bottle and drank some, making sure not to drink too much before she started her real workout.
She pulled the sweatshirt that she'd had on off, the running having warmed her up enough. She now had on a pair of black basketball shorts, running shoes, and a pale blue short-sleeved t-shirt. Her long hair was back in a high ponitail with a black hairband.
She decided to work with her martial arts skills next. She needed to keep up with that, even if she wasn't in Japan any more. She knew Logan could help her perfect her tecnique, but this was just about staying in shape. She stood sideways, her right foot in front of her left, with her hands in fists in front of her chest. She began bouncing on her toes, then imagined herself sparring with an opponent from a rival school. She swung a few quick punches, then danced back, out of range of her invisible enemy. She swung her back leg around, turning her hip as she did, aiming for the shoulder of the person. The enemy was slightly taller than her, or so she decided as a way to test her flexibility. She continued with the motion, moving the other leg to hit the oponent with her heel. She finished off the combo with a jab.
After a bit more pretending to fight an invisible opponent, she stopped, standing still. She put her hands behind her head and looked at the sky, her chest heaving. She was a bit out of shape, not having worked out as much as she should've since coming to America. She took another drink from her water bottle, but stayed on her feet. Sitting would only make her legs hurt more.
Once she'd gotten her breath back, she held out one hand before her, palm up. She knew what she had to do to make the crystals form from the air, but it was hard. She had to remember exactly how to do it, down to the molecular level. She closed her eyes, focusing on the chemical makeup of the crystals that she created. She moved the molecules into position, at least in her mind, and built the crystal, a blue Quartz crystal, from the very air itself. She knew it wouldn't be very big, but she watched in her mind's eye as the molecules formed a heart shaped blue crystal. She took a breath, letting the remaining molecules go, and opened her eyes.
In her palm was a tiny blue heart, just the right size to go on a small pendant. She smiled, excited. This was the first one that took the shape she'd wanted it to. She was proud of herself, despite the small size of the crystal. She knew size would come with practice.
