Tessa chuckled as he launched into the big long explanation about how his constructs worked and what happened to them when they vanished. "I think the words you are looking for are Conservation of Energy. It can neither be creates nor destroyed, simply changed from one form to another," she said. Tessa may not have had the chance to go to college, but she had done quite well in high-school. She shook her head though. "I think mine are different from yours. I'll show you.' The black mist formed once again, but this time much less of it. Once it solidified, it formed two small, very beautifully formed wings made of gold that looked like they had been laser cut in an complicated filigree pattern. Tessa reached one hand back and grasped it at the base. She took a deep breath and gave a hard twist. A crack was heard and the wing came free. She quickly did the same with the other before he could protest, wincing each time. It clearly caused her pain; just how much was unclear though since she had gotten so good at masking it on her face. She held the wings out to him. If he took them, they wouldn't dissolved back into the black mist. They would stay exactly as they were until melted down or destroyed in some other way. The stumbs weren't bloody either since it was mostly an inorganic set of wings.
"You see, I think that while the mental process of forming things is similar for us, the end resault is quite different. One of my team members could use a similar process to form weapons, but he couldn't give them to anyone else or they would revert back to the Black Mist. Same thing if someone took the weapon from him. But the bullets for guns acted like my wings, staying after leaving him."
"You asked me earlier if bigger wings meant slower summoning time. That's not exactly true. Let me show you." She smiled as she stood up once again. In a sudden and furious burst of motion she punched towards him. She was far enough away that he would never think she could reach him. Before her fist had stopped moving, the razor sharp metal edge of a fully metal, angel style wing sliced through the air with a metallic sound. The wings had appeared so fast, no one would have been able to see their formation. She dismissed them just as quickly. "Those are kinda big ones because I'll use them as blades in addition to my sword. But I've worked on them and practiced them for a long time," she said with a proud grin. Those wings had saved her life more than once and since they weren't super special like her Kevlar or Carrying wings, they didn't have a limitiation on them. "Now the ones I have issues with are news ones but let me try." She closed her eyes to concentrate. Mist formed quickly, but stayed a shapeless glob for a moment before starting to take shape into very angular wings. As they took on a green color similar visually to Hal's constructs, their outline waivered and suddenly collapsed, the mist fading away. Tessa opened her eyes, her bearthing slightly increased. She reached up and wiped her fore head with a small sheepish smile. "They failed completely didn't they."
