What's hidden behind the mask:
Personality: Isis serves faithfully as part of the ruling family in Heliopolis. She was reveared as the goddess of fertility and domestication as well as the patron of nature and magic. She was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans, and the downtrodden, and she listened to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats, and rulers. Isis is compassionate, loyal, and protective.
History:
Isis and her family were imprisoned for many years in a pyramid that lied deep beneath the Earth. It was her own brother, Seth that put her and her family there so that he may rule the other-dimensional city of Heliopolis without opposition.
Eventually, the pyramid revealed itself in the United States and Isis was able to use her powers to contact Odin, ruler of Asgard. Seth had said that the only way they would ever be free is if their ancestor Atum-Re returned to Earth, so she made Odin believe that he was Atum-Re through the Ceremony of Rebirth.
The son of Odin, the mighty Thor wanted his father to be released from their spell and agreed to travel to the city of Heliopolis to face Seth with them. On Heliopolis, Seth’s armies were defeated and he was cast out of the city leaving The Pharoah to reclaim his throne.
This did not leave Isis and her family safe forever for Seth did return and took her family captive once more. Seth planned to sacrifice Horus to gain control of a demon called the Devourer, but the demon turned on Seth instead. Isis, was at the mercy of Seth’s armies while Thor fought Seth and the Devourer with his ally, the Thing.
In the end, Seth was defeated and Isis and her family were freed once more. This did not stop the god of death from returning again to plague the Gods of Heliopolis, but this time he stole their powers so that he may wage war against the universe itself. Wanting the extinction of all life, Seth first attacked his greatest threat, the Asgardians and Thor.
Even though Seth and his armies were great in number, the Asgardians, Thor, and even Seth’s own creation, Earth Force fought back and eventually emerged triumphant. The powers were restored to Isis and the other Heliopolitan gods, and their first act upon regaining their powers was to heal the dying mortals in Earth Force and send them back home.
Role Playing Sample:
Isis sat regally in a velvet seat within her grand quarters in Heliopolis. She outstretched her hand to her elaborate vanity desk and gently lifted up a brush made from substances close to ivory and opal (comparitively on Earth). She brought the brush to her flowing, silky hair and stroked it in downward motions. After a few strokes, a presence appeared in the doorway to her quarters. The young woman bowed her head and spoke softly, never raising her eyes to Isis. She stated that Osiris requested her presence in the Grand Chambers. Isis nodded her head gently, smiled, and rose her hand to release the woman from her presence.
She set the brush down once more, rose gracefully from the velvet stool, and swept her long hair behind her shoulders. She walked as if she were floating effortlessly through the halls, and through the Grand Chamber doors. Isis stopped just inside the doorway to kneel and bow her head, recognizing his authority and power. As she rose her head, he gestured for her come closer to him as he sat in the elaborate throne. She rose from her knee and strode across the large space until she stood before him. Her hands were folded and she awaited his word.
Osiris spoke calmly, yet, she could sense some sort of urgency to his words. He explained the dire situation on Earth, the realm of which the son of Odin (Thor) protects. The increasing tension and violence surrounding the humans and their pressure for this "superhuman" registration threatened the very safety of those they wish to protect (super and human alike).
Speaking to her in their native tongue, Osiris let it be known that he would send Isis to the realm in order to offer assistance to the Asgardian protector of the realm and those he bands together to fight with, to repay the debt of his assistance in returning them to their rightful throne.
Without question and without argue, Isis nodded her head to his decision. She was to seek out and aid the Earth's "superhuman" warriors...
