A man in a black suit approached Tony on the floor of his company. "Sir, your eleven o'clock appointment is here. A Miss Tessa Anderson." The man then turned on his heal and left.
Before Tony could see her, he would be able to heat her heals on the hard floor. Tessa's step was bold and confident as she came around the corner, the complete opposite of how she felt inside, but she'd lever let it show on her face. Now was not the time to be timid. She could not however, she stop her mind from playing the same questions that had been there for days. What if this didn't work because he had no interest. What if he was just as self centered as most of the people on her Earth and he just flatly refused. She could handle him trying and failing to do what she was about to ask. But if he flat out refused, she didn't know who she would turn to, yet she knew she couldn't give up on her team.
Weeks ago, after the party at the school, she had done enough computer research to on Tony Stark to know that he was probably her best option for opening a portal back to her Earth. After that she had spent almost a week arguing with herself about making an appointment to see him. She didn't think just walking in off the street would get her very far since he seemed to be a busy, and popular man, if the party was any indication. She finally woke up one morning and simply called the office before her brain had time to come up with an excuse not to.
By pure puck the assistant who had answered the phone had said a block of time starting at 11:00 am had just opened up due to a cancellation. The only down side was that she had to wait two more days. The delay however, had given her time to decide on what she ought to wear. Having just bought a motorcycle meant she didn't have the money to spend on an entire new outfit. But what about just riding her bike to the meeting. She wanted him to take her seriously so she did buy a pair of high healed boots for the occasion.
So here she was with a helmet under her arm, in black pants, black boots, a black leather jacket, and white tank top. Tessa hadn't wanted to seem too morbid. "Good morning Mr. Stark," she said, moving boldly towards him, her head held high. "I'm sorry we never got to be officially introduced at the party. I didn't want to be anymore intrusive that was absolutely necessary." She took a regular, yet calming breath, keeping her serious face. This was not the time for flashy smiles to try and win him over. "Mr. Stark, I think there is something you could help me with. May I sit?" Now she waited to see and gauge his reaction.
