The Realm of Eld is a kind of Fantasy RP my friend Mike and his friend made, originally based on Dungeons & Dragons, but has since changed. Now, with a more extensive plot and an actual evil force present, we now have a threat for those who fight the good fight, a cause to rally behind for those who are considered evil.
And then there are those who are neutral. Frankly, my dead, they don't give a damn. They may or may not be swayed one way or the other, or they may not do anything at all. Who knows?
Anyway, here's the History of the Realm of Eld:
Now the choice is yours. Join those who fight for the right, or ally yourself with those wish to commit vile acts and conquer Eld for their own gains. Or, you know, go neutral and do whatever.
Please note, that we have a strict no godmodding and no plagiarism policy on this site. We don't like it, we don't turn a blind eye to it. Report to the admins, and we shall investigate. You plagiarize another member's stuff, then we investigate.
And God help you when we find evidence to support these claims. And God help you when we find that your claims are false, and you only wanted the member kicked.
Just saying.
No Godmodding or Plagiarism.
Ever.

Anyway, here's the History of the Realm of Eld:
The Realm of Eld is a chaotic one. Countries are divided by internal strife and civil wars. It's a dog-eat-dog world where loyalty is a fleeting thing. Loyalties change mostly depending on how much people can pay.
Even the honorable Knights of Eld, a group of people recruited from all 'good' races, trained in warfare, with the purpose of bringing peace to the world, have been corrupted by greed, and fight to claim their own territories.
The only country that isn't divided is Panthros, ruled by the Elven King and Queen. They are the only ones who have been able to keep their country united against the foes outside the borders.
The human king Anduryn of Kattarn has been in darkness for years, ever since his first wife died, along with his son. All he cares about is his line, and allowing it to live on. His country has been divided, as he no longer watches over it.
Kaz Kazan, the Dwarf lands, is also divided, after the death of King Wepwennium III, at the hands of his brother, Pin. Pin never got to claim the throne, however, as Wepwennium was the only one keeping the country united. With the king dead, everyone of stature raced to claim their own piece of land and expand it.
The Dark Lands, on the other hand, is a rather strange place. To an outsider, it looks like the most volatile, most dangerous place in the world, where no one has any loyalty to anyone, but that couldn't be further from the truth. In truth, deep within the Dark Lands, in a high, pitch-black tower, the Dark Lord Dagalûr rules over the Dark Lands and all the creatures within. Up until now, no one has ever even heard of Dagalûr, but rumor has spread about his existence, and about how he is the reason for all the strife in the once peaceful world, how his spies had slipped in everywhere, planting seeds of doubt and paranoia in the heads of the leaders. There is also rumor that Dagalûr was the one who sent assassins to kill King Anduryn's wife and son.
The life of a mercenary is the best possible life in the Realm of Eld. No firm loyalties, and only working for those who can pay for it, no matter who it is, because those in power today may be without it tomorrow, and at that point, it would be prudent to get away as fast as possible.
